About Me
I am a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist based in Cornwall offering online therapy sessions. I am fully accredited with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP). I have been practicing Cognitive Behavioural Therapy since 2013 and completed my Cognitive Behavioural Therapy training at the University of Exeter which is where I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology.
I am a qualified Cognitive Behavioural Therapy Supervisor and spent much of my time in the NHS as a senior therapist offering supervision to other Cognitive Behavioural Therapists.
I was fortunate enough to grow up on a farm in Cornwall and always wanted to be a Veterinary Surgeon … until I realised I didn’t like the sight of blood! This made me re-think my life plans and through studying Psychology at A-Level I realised I had a passion for people and found it fascinating to understand more about how the mind works, even more so when it doesn’t work so well! I went on to study Psychology at degree level, thinking that if it didn’t work out that it would be a good all-rounder degree that would stand me in good stead for any future career I may choose. But the degree only deepened my passion for Psychology even further and coupled with the desire to help people this lead me into a career of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy within the NHS. I do still have a great love for animals so make sure I regularly spend time on the family farm as much as I can.
